The Silverback Blues Burners is an electric blues/rock band based in Richmond, Virginia. Started in 2002 by our harmonica player, Dave Cox, and guitarist, Jim McCauley, the band also features bassist Marty Schwab, drummer Miles Johnston and keyboard player Dick Phillips. We cover the well-recognized classic blues of Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Elmore James, T. Bone Walker, Little Walter, etc. and also play some more modern classics from the Allman Brothers, B.B. King, the Nighthawks, the Yardbirds, Cream, J. Geils Band, the Doors, ZZ Top, the Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt. We feature original songs in our shows as well.
